ORDERING AND PAYMENT

You can place an order on our website, over the telephone to 01488 669004 or via e-mail to customerservices@greatgifthampers.com. We accept payment via most credit and debit cards both on our website and also via telephone orders. We will take card details over the phone for any orders that have been submitted via e-mail.

You can pay by Access, Mastercard, Visa and Switch and Delta. We regret we are unable to accept payment by Solo / Electron. We also accept payment via cheque and BACS but do remember to allow time for the funds to clear as we cannot ship your order till we are in receipt of cleared funds.

We take your security very seriously and the purchase area of our site is secured using industry standard Secure Socket Layer technology to allow for encryption of your credit card details. Additionally, any card details taken over the phone are input straight into the same encrypted purchase area which we cannot access.

All card payments are validated and authorised prior to completion of your order. We are not liable for non-delivery of your goods if your payment is not authorised.

You may order and pay for goods up to 250 days in advance of delivery during which time the price will be held.

It is a crime to purchase or attempt to purchase goods with a stolen credit card or with stolen personal details or with a false name. We will take appropriate action if we discover any person is attempting to fraudulently purchase goods from our website.

We reserve the right to withhold goods and terminate any account details with anybody who we suspect of fraudulent practice and / or breach of these terms and conditions.

DELIVERY

Please refer to our Delivery page for detailed information about the many different delivery methods offered.

Whilst The Great Gift Hamper Company will do our utmost to ensure deliveries are made on the requested date, please note that such dates serve as estimates only and cannot be guaranteed in any way.

Any claim for non-delivery of any Goods shall be notified in writing by the Customer to The Great Gift Hamper Company within 10 days of the intended delivery date.

Regardless of how the order is communicated to The Great Gift Hamper Company (on-line, e-mail, telephone-call etc.), it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all order and delivery details are correct at least two working days prior to despatch.

The Great Gift Hamper Company reserves the right to impose a surcharge retrospectively for any balance arising from the selection of an incorrect delivery zone, e.g. UK Mainland option selected for a Scottish Highlands or UK Offshore destination. If the customer is in any doubt as to the correct delivery option for their chosen destination then it is their responsibility to consult The Great Gift Hamper Company prior to placement of the order.

Our guarantee is limited to delivering to the building, not individual recipients.

The Great Gift Hamper Company does not accept any responsibility for any loss, damage, delay or other disruption in supply and deliveries brought about as a result of any of the following:

  • inaccurate or incomplete delivery address details
  • delayed payment (cleared funds)
  • delayed order receipt

The Great Gift Hamper Company reserves the right to charge the Customer an additional fee for carriage, handling charges or unusable content in the event of a failed delivery caused by the supply of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address by the Customer.

ORDERING

All goods remain the property of The Great Gift Hamper Company until they have been paid for in full (cleared funds).

Orders are not accepted until the point of despatch.

Prices quoted are subject to change without notice.

No order which has been accepted by the Company may be cancelled by the Customer except with the agreement in writing of the Company and in terms that the Customer shall indemnify the Company in full against all loss (including loss of profit), cost (including the costs of all labour and materials used), damages, charges and expenses incurred by the Company as a result of cancellation.

RETURNS POLICY

While we believe you will be delighted with everything you buy from The Great Gift Hamper Company, we do understand that on occasion you will need or want to return an item.

UNWANTED GIFTS

We want you to be really happy with everything you order and receive from us so if something isn't right then please let us know. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase then we will refund your money in full, or exchange the goods, no questions asked.

All we ask is that you give us a call on 01488 669004 or email customerservices@greatgifthampers.com within 7 days of purchase and inform us of your intention to return the item.*

Once you have been in touch with us we ask that you return the item/s to us within 14 days, unused and in a saleable condition in its original packaging for either an exchange or a full refund.

Regrettably we are not able to offer this guarantee on any items which have been purchased in a sale or clearance promotion, nor on food stuffs/confectionary or personalised items, unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

You must the return the products at your own cost. You are responsible for the returned items until they are received at our address so we recommend you obtain a Proof of Postage Certificate which you can get from the Post Office as we won't be able to process your refund until we are in receipt of the goods. Please note that refunds may take up to 10 working days to process.

*Please note that this period is automatically extended over the Christmas period. Any gifts purchased between mid-November and 24th December every year can be returned up until the following 14th January, but please contact us before you do so.

EXCEPTIONS

If your order contains any of the following items we will be unable to refund your order (including postage & packaging) once it has been delivered:

  • Fresh items (including cheese, meat, fish, fruit or flowers)
  • Tailor-made or personalised goods
  • Bespoke Hampers 

DAMAGED OR FAULTY GIFTS

We package all gifts as carefully as possible to ensure they arrive with you in perfect condition and, where appropriate, we test the product to check it works. However, if something arrived damaged or faulty then please call us on 01488 669004 within 48 hours of receipt.

We will send you a pre-paid returns label to be used by you when returning the damaged or faulty goods to us. We are unable to reimburse the cost of you returning an item to us under any circumstances.

We will replace all damaged or faulty items free of charge or, if you return the item to us within 14 days, issue you with a full refund.

If a returned product is faulty, then we will return the original delivery cost plus the postage paid by you to send it back to us but please contact us before returning the item so that we can arrange to send you a returns post label or even arrange for a courier to collect the item from you.

In the event that we arrange to have an item returned to us and our Control Department find that the goods are not in fact damaged or defective, then please note we will deduct the cost of collection from your refund.

FRESH FOOD HAMPERS

All Fresh Food Hampers must be signed for on delivery. Please ensure that your recipient will be available to receive the goods on your chosen delivery date.

All fresh food must be opened and refrigerated within 48 hours of dispatch to ensure the goods are safe to consume. Fresh food hampers can only be shipped to the UK.

We are not able to offer product or delivery refunds for failed fresh food deliveries that are due to the recipient not being at home or due to us having  been provided with incorrect delivery details.

WINES & SPIRITS

Some of our hampers contain alcohol. Alcohol is only available for sale to persons aged 18 years or over. It is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol under the Licensing Act 2003 if you are under 18 years of age. By placing an order with The Great Gift Hamper Company the Customer shall be deemed to have confirmed that they are at least 18 years of age.

PRODUCT SHELF LIFE

The products will have a minimum shelf life of 28 days for the earliest dated product. This excludes hampers containing fresh food (such as fish, cheese, fruit and flowers) which have a minimum shelf life of 5 days from point of despatch so please ensure that delivery is scheduled mindful of this timeframe.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Some of our products contain nuts, egg, milk, gluten and other allergens so please refer to product packaging for further information or contact us on 01488 669004

SUBSTITUTIONS

All products are fully itemised and fairly described. However, in the unlikely event of supply difficulties, The Great Gift Hamper Company reserve the right to substitute goods or packaging of at least equal quality and value that may or may not be listed in the contents section of the product description.

The product images shown on the website are intended for presentation purposes only. Gifts and their contents are configured for safe and secure transit using the appropriate packaging methods, employed at The Great Gift Company’s discretion. All photographic props such as plates, glasses, cutlery and other utensils are not included unless stated.

Any weights given are approximate only and packaging and wine labels may vary from those shown.

All items featured within our brochure and websites are subject to availability.

VAT

All prices include VAT at variable rates. The Great Gift Hamper Company reserves the right to amend prices according to legislative change.

FORCE MAJEURE

The Company shall not be liable for any failure in the performance of any of its obligations under this Agreement caused by factors outside its control.

LAW AND JURISDICTION

This agreement shall be governed by English law.
